Senior Industrial Hygienist
Mr. Jay Sandoval is an ABIH Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with over 15 years of experience in the environmental, geoscience, and health and safety field.
Mr. Sandoval started his career as an environmental scientist focused on hazardous materials/waste management in land transactions of real property for the construction and renovation of public and private institutions. Land acquisition included due diligence environmental audits and media testing for groundwater, soil, and ambient air. Impacted areas were delineated and remediated based on agency remedial goals, risk assessment calculations, public health, and future occupancy. Project scopes encompassed remedial site investigations, pilot testing and feasibility studies, removal actions, site monitoring, and industrial hygiene consulting.
Through the course of Mr. Sandoval’s career, he has served as a team lead for numerous multi-disciplinary, multi-task programs involving groundwater management, surface water resources and conservation, solid waste reduction and recycling, air quality and source apportionment, and as corporate health and safety officer. Mr. Sandoval has extensive experience working with federal, state, county, city, municipal, and utility organizations to secure environmental, health and safety compliance.
Mr. Sandoval has served as public relations advocate for environmental stewardship and brownfields rehabilitation to promote sustainable practices in alternative energy consumption, land use methods, biodegradable products, and ecological nutritional practices.
