Professional Experience
David Kang is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with over 19 years of experience in the environmental, health and safety fields. David entered the EH&S profession as an industrial hygienist/safety engineer with Cal OSHA shortly after earning his MPH from UC Berkeley. Working for a regulatory agency enabled him to gain an excellent foundation and understanding in federal, state, and local regulations. He spent the next several years of his career working for companies such as BSI EH&S Services and Solutions, Disneyland Parks and Resorts, Novartis, and the University of California, Irvine.
During that time, he developed, implemented, and managed a variety of environmental health and safety programs such as chemical safety, industrial hygiene monitoring, indoor air quality surveys, respiratory protection, ventilation assessments, confined space, noise surveys, contractor safety, hazardous waste management, and employee safety training. In addition, he has executed various regulatory permit preparations, submittals, audits, and inspections. Professionally, he enjoys identifying where a better solution is possible, and then implementing that solution for a positive outcome. He possesses strong problem-solving abilities, presentation skills, and training expertise with a focus on making complex information digestible and actionable.
